About Me:
I'm the author of the new visionary fantasy novel, The MoonQuest and the upcoming book on writing The Voice of the Muse: Answering the Call to Write. I'm also a life coach and spiritual mentor dedicated to help people awaken and activate their passion, power and potential.

Both my books are very much in alignment with that work.

The MoonQuest takes place in a mythical time and place where storytelling has been banned and storytellers banished. As a story of empowerment and the return of vision and creativity to a silenced land, it's also a call for everyone to be free to to live and tell their stories.

The Voice of the Muse, a book of writing inspiration and practice for novice and experienced writers alike, is a tool to reawaken and revitalize story and creativity. This book grew out of the writing classes, workshops and coaching sessions I have been offering for more than 15 years.

I love this line from the musical Yentl: "With all there is, why settle for just a piece of sky?" All the work I do is about helping people move beyond that single piece of sky to touch the infinite of their true nature and the true nature of the infinite divinity.

The Year of Living Wondrously

"There's a scene in my novel The MoonQuest where the main character, upset by a vision of the slaying of loved ones from his past, is told to look ahead not backward.

"It seems a thoughtless, almost cruel injunction. But when we find ourselves at the intersection of Old and New, the only way to honor what has passed is to move forward, even as our natural tendency is to want to reach back.

Mark David,

Thanks so much for the invite. Your website is truly inspirational, and I enjoyed every page! It made me smile and gave me encouragement. I'm developing two new writing projects, and your enlightening words will stay with me as I form the story line for one of my next books with a much lighter subject than my first book, "Innocence Betrayed."

"The MoonQuest" sounds like an amazing read (I checked out the Amazon reviews). Congratulations on it's successes!

Peace and many blessings,

Helen
