- Children's book author/illustrator. I have two news books out,The Super Heroes Save Christmas and Grandma,What Is Cancer? I thoroughly enjoy what I do...and tend to get overly excited about illustrating a book. : ) I just really get into the characters and it makes me happy to be able to get what I am feeling drawn onto the paper. To have the characters to be able to "come to life" and do what they are doing in the story it's just very exciting and satisfying as an author/illustrator. I received my certificate from the Professional Institute of Commercial Art here,Maryland in 1978 after completing a 18 month program.
